Fasteners
Fasteners are typically devices that join 2 or more parts together. These joints are non-permanent fixtures and can be easily moved or manipulated without affecting the parts they are joining together. Siyamuva has a vast range of fixings to suit every need, especially when combined with the Siyamuva T-slot aluminium range. The Siyamuva fixings range can easily add character and an industrial feel to any build, and can also be made less obtrusive if required.
T-bolts
Siyamuva T-bolts are used for fastening purposes, similar to our T-nuts. Our T-bolts can be directly inserted at assembly points for high precision and efficiency. Offering the same stability and strength as our T-nuts, these T-bolts have T-shaped heads that can be connected directly into our extruded T-slot aluminium profiles.
To connect our T-bolts, insert the bolt vertically into the slot of our extruded T-slot aluminium profile and then turn it horizontally to lock it into place. These T-bolts can also slide up and down the length of our extruded T-slot aluminium profile to wherever they are needed.
Our T-bolts are available in a 6mm and 8mm thread at various lengths.
T-nuts
These are our most popular fastener. Siyamuva T-nuts have a T-shaped head which is essential to the way they connect to our extruded T-slot aluminium profile. Our T-nuts get vertically pushed into the slot on our extruded aluminium profile, and are then turned sideways to lock in. Siyamuva T-nuts are used with Siyamuva die cast brackets to create 90-degree connections, and are also used with a variety of components such as hinges, handles and roller clips.
Our T-nuts are available in M6 and M8 thread sizes in either 8mm width, for use with 30×30 extruded T-slot aluminium profiles, and 10mm width, for use with all other size extruded T-slot aluminium profile.
Slide nuts
Siyamuva slide nuts are used when connecting elements (such as our brackets or handles) need to be able to slide along the length of the Siyamuva T-slot profile. Our slide nuts allow for external devices to be easily loosened and moved without jamming or sticking, and are inserted into the open end of the Siyamuva T-slot profile before the slides are closed.
Our slide nuts are available in an M6 or M8 execution.
Flanged nuts
Our flanged nuts are mostly used with Siyamuva T-bolts, in conjunction with our T-slot aluminium range. Flanged nuts are used to give stability to the product being fastened, and have a bigger surface area compared to our standard nuts to distribute pressure over a greater surface area. Combined with the serrated base, this greatly reduces the chance of the nut loosening. Siyamuva flanged nuts also reduce cost and installation times, as additional washers are not required.
Our flanged nuts come in standard M6 and M8.
Button heads
Siyamuva button head screws are used to fasten all Siyamuva brackets and plates to our T-slot profile range, using either our T-nuts or sliding nuts. A hexagonal hole in the dome of the bolt allows for loosening or tightening with Allen hex wrenches. These screws have a domed head with no sharp edges, giving a smooth finish to any fastening element, while minimising the risk of accidental scratching or scraping of either products or personnel. Our button head screws are ideal for low to medium duty applications – for heavier duty applications, rather use the Siyamuva Allen cap screws.
Our button head screws are available in M6 and M8 with lengths of 16mm, 20mm and 25mm.
Allen caps
Also designed for heavy duty applications, our Allen cap screws have a distinctive long head to add extra strength to the fixing, and can be tightened or loosened with Allen hex wrenches. These screws are used to fasten all Siyamuva brackets and plates to our T-slot profile range, using our T-nuts or sliding nuts.
Our Allen cap screws are available in M6 and M8 with lengths of 16mm, 20mm and 25mm.
Washers
Our range of washers are used in conjunction with the Siyamuva range of bolts, ensuring that the bolt does not loosen, while evenly distributing the force of the bolt over a larger surface area. Siyamuva washers and bolts are used to fasten all our brackets and plates to our T-slot profile range.
Our washers are available in M6 and M8.
